Birds, especially native Florida waterfowl, are one of my favorite subjects to photograph and portray in my artwork. I designed this piece from the perspective of someone wading among the waterlillies and watching this magnificent blue heron snag his morning meal.
The panel is constructed using the copper foil technique and incorporates over 425 pieces of premium stained glass from Bullseye, Spectrum, Wissmach and Youghiogheny. The heron's eye is fused glass. The solder that covers all of the copper foil has been brushed with a black patina and then polished to make all of the leadlines look charcoal gray. This artwork is ready to hang in your home or business. |
